What is the PGC – BA & BI?

The Post Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics & Business Intelligence (PGC – BA & BI) is a 6-month on-campus professional program offered by SRM School of Business Studies. It is designed to build business-ready analytics and BI capabilities through structured learning, hands-on tools, projects and an industry capstone.

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required. Final-year undergraduate students may also apply, subject to successful completion of their degree. 0–3 years of experience is preferred but not mandatory.

No. The program is designed for learners with no prior programming experience. Python and SQL are taught from fundamentals within the program.

The program is offered through two tracks — Weekday (Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 3 hours per session) and Weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 4.5 hours per session). Both tracks cover the same curriculum, projects, capstone and placement assistance. Only the session schedule differs.

The program includes 225+ hours of structured learning across 12 modules, spanning 25 weeks (~6 months). Both Weekday and Weekend tracks deliver 9 hours of learning per week.

The program covers Excel, SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn), Power BI, DAX, Tableau, and Generative AI tools. Learners also explore Google Looker Studio, Jupyter and GitHub.

You will complete 10 portfolio-building analytics projects across the program — one per module — plus a final Industry Capstone where you build an end-to-end analytics solution for a chosen industry domain.

The Industry Capstone (Module 12, 40 hours) is an end-to-end analytics project where you choose an industry — Automotive & Manufacturing, BFSI, Retail / E-Commerce, Marketing, HR or Healthcare — and build a complete analytics solution including SQL analysis, Python EDA, a BI dashboard, business recommendations and an executive presentation.

The program includes a Career & Employability Lab covering resume preparation, portfolio development, interview preparation and business communication. Career talks, employer interactions and capstone presentations are also part of the program. This is a placement assisted program — placement assistance is provided as an integral part of the experience.
